Skip Francone grew up in Salt Lake City, the oldest of four children, and began his professional experience as a child, having grown up with a family business. His family was in the terrazzo business, and after that he moved into construction equipment and parts sales with several local companies, and on to sales and management with Intermountain Bobcat. His personal community service and volunteer history is extensive. He raised two children in Salt Lake City and was very involved in service with their school and church communities. He was on the initial organizing board of the St. Thomas Moore Days of Yore Festival, has been liturgy director for St. Francis Xavier Church, has chaired multiple times for annual fundraising events for St. Vincent De Paul School, and served on the board for St. Vincent De Paul School, St. Francis Xavier Church and School community, East Hollywood High, and also Judge Memorial Schools. He has also been active local theatre and choir and donates time and materials on behalf of Intermountain Bobcat for many local health charity and school communities, such as SLCC, East Hollywood High School, Cancer society, and numerous others. He currently serves on the board of his community HOA. He is the father of five blended family children, with 8 grandchildren and has always had vested interest in the future of quality education.
