Career Pathways show students a direct connection between doing well in high school and being able to transition smoothly to post-secondary opportunities or getting a good job when they graduate. Students who focus on a Career Pathway acquire the skills necessary for entry into well-paid careers with high potential for rapid financial growth, increased levels of responsibility, and a high degree of personal satisfaction.
Utah Career Pathways align with and are categorized by the national Career Clusters®. Each Career Pathway culminates in an industry recognized credential of value.

Video Production & Digital Media
Classes Offered:
Video Production 1
Large Scale School-wide Film Projects Participating students apply for specific film project jobs. The entire project is run as a professional film shoot. Film professionals provide job coaching to help students develop the professionalism required for success in the film industry. Large Scale Student Led Film Projects Participating students prepare their own film projects for production. Student projects are selected for production. Students selected must select their crew and cast and run the project as producers and directors. Film Club Students in the film club participate in Skills USA, attend leadership conferences, lead school service projects, and prepare films for competition. Telos Film Awards Students prepare and submit films for the school-wide film awards. Industry professionals select films for awards that are presented at an awards ceremony event planned by students. School Film Festivals Students have the opportunity to participate in 24 hour and 48 hour film festivals. Students are divided into teams and have only 24 or 48 hours to create a film. Animation Club Students have the opportunity to develop advanced skills with Maya, Zbrush and Virtual Reality. Students prepare for end of year Skills USA competitions. |

Entrepreneurship, Leadership Principles, Marketing I, Marketing II, Customer Service, Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism, Business Law, Accounting I, Accounting II, Event Planning & Marketing, Business Communication I, Business Communications II, Economics, Digital Marketing, Real Estate, Business Office Specialist, Business & Marketing Capstone. Students can also participate in: DECA With DECA, our members will reach new levels of success by participating in challenging experiences that will help them explore various industries and career pathways. Whether virtually or in person, DECA works with them to supplement the instruction being delivered every day. EHHS is proud to provide programs that introduce our members to workplace competencies and make academic content accessible by providing an engaging way through DeCA's Comprehensive LearningProgram. DECA's Comprehensive Learning Program offers exciting opportunities for classroom activities that connect the instruction for classroom to college and careers. DECA's activities naturally support programs of study in the career clusters for marketing, business management, finance and hospitality. SLATE - Student Leadership Activities Team Experts Participating students are responsible for planning and marketing school events such as dances, fundraisers, open mic events, service projects etc. |
Family & Consumer Sciences
At East Hollywood High School we are so excited to have an emerging Family and Consumer Science (FCS) program! Our program is currently offering classes that focus on preparing students for adulthood. These classes have a heavy emphasis on communication, interpersonal skills, healthy relationships and most importantly on developing solid self-esteem through the topics we discuss. We also currently offer Child Development classes the also focus on the psychology behind growth and development and then loot at the stages of pregnancy and the realities of raising children.
