State Mandated Assessments
East Hollywood High School participates in the following State Mandated Assessments:
Utah Aspire Plus
Utah Aspire Plus is a hybrid assessment for 9th and 10th grade students created through collaboration with Utah educators, the Utah State Board of Education, and Pearson using ACT Aspire and the Utah assessment questions. ACT
State ACT testing is for all juniors in public schools in Utah. The ACT is comprised of reading, English (grammar and usage), math, and science subtests. These tests provide scores that predict the likelihood that students will attain a grade of "C" or better in a college entry-level course.
WIDA ACCESS
ACCESS for ELLs Online is Utah's online summative assessment of EL students. It is developed and Maintained by WIDA. This assessment is administered for a number of purposes: a)to measure individual students' progress in achieving proficiency in speaking, listening to, reading and writing academic English, b) to determine the success of language development programs in individual schools and school districts, and c) to fulfill federal requirements of The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015.
